How to play

  1. Drag a number to an adjacent cell above, below, left, or right.
  2. A number may move into an empty cell. Swapping two numbers must immediately make a line of at least three equal numbers.
  3. Three equal numbers fold into double their value. Larger matches and chains can create higher numbers.
  4. Reach the target before you run out of moves. Nothing drops, refills, or randomizes while you play.

Frequently asked questions

Can I undo or restart?

Yes. Undo and Restart sit below the puzzle. Undo reverses only the latest move; Restart restores the current puzzle's starting board.

What if I miss today's puzzle?

You can revisit the last seven days from the date row. Daily puzzles use the UTC date, so the same day and app version always produce the same puzzle—even offline.

Does the share image reveal the answer?

No. It shows only the starting board, target, and result—not your move path or completed board. Saving to Files creates a single PNG.

Why won't a friend challenge open?

Make sure the link is complete and that Chainfold supports its version. The full challenge lives inside the link; a truncated link or failed integrity check is rejected.

How do I play with VoiceOver?

Focus a number, open Actions, then choose Move Up, Down, Left, or Right. Chainfold also supports Dynamic Type, increased contrast, Differentiate Without Color, and Reduce Motion.

Does progress sync between devices?

Yes. When you are signed in to iCloud, completions, streaks, personal bests, and unfinished moves sync through Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. Offline play is saved locally first, so another device may take a moment to catch up after you reconnect. No Chainfold account is required, and the developer cannot view your save.
